Ramalinga Raju arrested, police look out for CFO

The police have finally swung into action and arrested the former chairman of Satyam computers Ramalinga Raju. The police team lead by CID IGP VSK Kaumudi took Ramlinga Raju, his brother Rama Raju late Friday night.

The other directors, auditors of Satyam are also likely to be arrested soon. The chief financial officer of Satyam Srinivas Vadlamani is likely to be arrested today.

Ramalinga Raju along with Rama Raju and a host of lawyers drove to the DGP office to surrender. But the police say that Ramlinga Raju has been arrested and he did not surrender.

Ramalinga Raju has been charged under several sections including ‘420’ and he could face imprisonment up to 10 years besides a hefty penalty. [Source:chitramala]
